About Markers

How it works

Step by step on stream night

Using the times in a video package

Start a package in the YouEdit chat with the stream's recording. After the first look, the card has a box for comments: paste the list there and say which moments must be in the cut. The times are the recording's own, so they point at the right place.

How it differs from Twitch's own markers

Twitch's /marker command works only on Twitch and only for the channel's own stream. Markers works with any platform, keeps the list on your device, and hands the times straight to whoever edits the video.

Use it inside OBS

OBS can show a web page as a dock: in OBS, open Docks, then Custom Browser Docks, give it a name and paste this page's address. The button then sits beside your scenes.

Questions

Do I need an account?
No. Markers works signed out; your list stays on your device until you send or copy it.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It is made for a phone beside your keyboard. Add it to your Home Screen to keep it a tap away.
What if the clock drifts from my recording?
Type the time your recording shows and press "Set the clock": the clock moves to match, and the marks after it follow the recording.
Will starting a new stream wipe my list?
Starting a new stream after Stop begins a fresh list, so copy or download the old one first. Clear asks before it removes every mark.
What does the list look like?
A line for the date, then one line per mark: the time in the recording and the word you gave it. It pastes anywhere text goes, and the download is a plain text file.
