About Banner Check
What it checks
- The size: at least 2048 × 1152 in 16:9; YouTube recommends 2560 × 1440, especially for TVs.
- The file: JPG or PNG, 6 MB or smaller.
- The safe area: at 2048 × 1152, the middle 1235 × 338. YouTube uses the same picture on computers, phones and TVs but shows it differently on each, so text and logos go there.
How to use it
- Drop your banner on the page or choose the file. It stays on this device.
- Check that your name, logo and text sit inside the outlined safe area.
- Fix what is flagged, then upload it in YouTube Studio: Customization, then Profile.
